Thackston Crandall, RLA, ASLA, LEED Green Associate
Thackston Crandall, RLA, ASLA, LEED Green Associate, is a Senior Project Manager at LaGuardia Design Group (LDG), where he leads projects from concept through implementation. With offices in New York City and the Hamptons, LDG works across diverse topographies and typologies to create compelling landscapes that help people and the built environment adapt to a changing world. Thackston’s work spans high-end residential projects in New York and abroad, as well as cultural and institutional landscapes throughout the Northeast.
His recent projects engage historically and culturally significant institutions, including the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music at Monmouth University, the Hyde Collection in Glens Falls, NY, and the Madoo Conservancy in Sagaponack, NY. Collaborating closely with clients, architects, and consultants, he fosters a process-driven approach that emphasizes landscape’s role in shaping experience and place.
Thackston’s work has been recognized in publications such as Landscape Architecture Magazine and has received honors including an ASLA New York Honor Award and a Boston Society of Landscape Architects Honor Award.
Raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Thackston developed an early appreciation for landscapes and their role in shaping culture and place. He holds a Bachelor’s of Landscape Architecture from Clemson University and a Master’s of Landscape Architecture from Cornell University.
